Micr v1.0 (beta) — what’s live

Jun 14, 2026 · The Micr team

Here’s where Micr is today, in beta.

What’s live

Play together, fast. From the home screen you can see who’s around and drop straight into a lobby. One click, no setup screen. Voice connects with your mic off, so showing up is never loud or awkward.

Communities. Spaces with channels, live discussion, and voice rooms — earned roles and a real welcome flow, not a wall of #channels.

Tournaments you can run. Single- and double-elimination brackets that seed and advance themselves — check-in, score reporting, and a public page anyone can watch without an account. Disputes settle on votes and evidence, not a host’s gut call, and a finished final crowns the winner on the spot.

An in-game overlay. Hit the hotkey and it’s there; let go and it’s gone. On desktop it’s a real OS overlay with push-to-talk.

A profile that’s yours. An identity card — your rank, your trackers, your calling card. It’s the first thing people see when they click your name.

What’s next

  • The first two seconds: tightening joins, voice hand-offs, and the moment a lobby loads
  • The overlay on more games, plus per-person volume
  • Tournaments: a clearer dispute flow and a better spectator page

If something feels off

A slow join, a lobby that feels dead, anything that doesn’t sit right — that’s exactly the bug we want. Tell us from /account/help.

That’s v1.0. It’s beta, so tell us what breaks — that’s how the next one gets written.
